I live just outside of the city centre with my wife, 13-year old cat and 6-month old Beagle puppy who keeps us very busy! Having lived in our current home for about 6 years, we’re able to enjoy the variety that the area has to offer from walks through Warley Woods and drinks in The Junction in Harborne, while the bustling city centre is just a ten minute drive away.
Where would you treat yourself to lunch?
Anderson & Hill is a fantastic deli located just opposite our office, which makes some great sandwiches however a coffee is definitely needed after the carb overload and their very generous portion sizes!

If I could bring a few more people along I think it would be fun to have a game of cricket under the floodlights of Edgbaston Stadium!
What are the best schools in your area?
There are a number of excellent schools at Primary and Secondary level throughout the area. To name just a few these include: The Blue Coat School, King Edward’s High School, Tudor Grange Academy and Solihull School.

I have been with Savills for six years joining the Residential Development Sales team after a move from London. We have two offices in the vibrant area of Clifton.
I live in an apartment in the sought after area of Clifton Village. Having rented here for a year when I moved from London I knew I needed to buy in the area as it had so much charm with it's beautiful Georgian terraces, many independent boutique shops and some of Bristol's most reputable restaurants. It really has such a vibey, friendly, community feel. I'm very lucky to have my work and my gym nearby within walking distance, and at the weekends, especially in the summer, I enjoy being able to do a gym class then stroll back through the village, grabbing a coffee or some breakfast on Boyces Avenue to watch the world go by. I enjoy cooking and travel in my spare time and getting into nature. I've recently taken up the picturesque Parkrun's on a Saturday morning at nearby Ashton Court. It's a great way to start the day!
There are so many options on the doorstep for a quick bite to eat. We have a Boulangerie nearby where the baguettes are freshly made to order with some delicious fillings and at a very good price. If I was to go somewhere a little more upmarket, then Bosco on Whiteladies road has the most delicious arancini balls, not to mention their sourdough pizzas. If we have client lunches then The Lido is a winner for it's relaxed atmosphere and dining setting around the pool or The Ivy for it's iconic, sophisticated brasserie menu.

Flats have always been very popular in the Bristol area as there are many first-time buyers and young professionals looking to get on the property ladder. Parents of university students will often purchase investment properties for them to live in whilst studying at university.
I enjoy a mooch around Clifton Village to pick up some supplies at the weekend from the local businesses, there are two fruit and veg shops that spill into the street, a couple of deli's serving some of the best sausage rolls in town and a traditional butcher. It's a simple pleasure for some added special treats to the usual weekly shop. We have Cabot Circus and Cribbs Causeway shopping mall nearby where there are all the national shop offerings available. It's great to head to the mall as it's all under one roof and parking is free.
I would absolutely love to own a dog, but working full-time, coupled with a no-pet restriction in my apartment block I can't have one just at the moment. If I were to have a dog I would take them for long walks up over the Downs which is a vast, open, protected parkland. This is also close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge which gives access to Leigh Woods which is a superb woodland and nature reserve.

There is so much to choose from in Bristol. We have an array of pubs and bars just outside of our office so we don't have to walk far before we are enjoying a refreshing G&T in Lost and Found or a beer in the sunshine on the lawn of the Quinton pub. There is also a lovely outdoor terrace at Brace and Browns that we've been known to take over for after work drinks.
We sold a Grade II listed award winning development in Bristol called The General which was the redeveloped General Hospital by the specialist heritage developer City and Country. It has some incredible features, high ceilings and mezzanine floors, sympathetically designed to a luxurious specification. I'd happily spend a night locked in one of the penthouse apartments enjoying the water views over the floating harbour.
There are some excellent schools at Primary and Secondary level throughout Bristol. One of the more popular is Clifton College, a well renowned private Anglican/Church of England school located in the exclusive Clifton area of Bristol.

Bristol is a great place to get around easily as the city isn’t too large. You can walk around most of the central areas, the harbourside and up into Clifton. Cycling has become a very popular choice for those looking to get around the city in the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly way, whilst there are excellent bus links with the Metro bus and good train connections with Temple Meads station having direct routes to many UK cities including London. As a result, we are seeing an increased number of people relocating from London for a better quality of life, knowing that they can still commute to London when necessary.

I first joined Savills back in 2018 and in 2024 joined the Yorkshire Residential Development team based out of our Leeds and York offices.
I live in a village called Kelfield just south of York. I love my son's small village school and the warm vibrant community we live in. I love that we can be in the North York Moors mountain biking one weekend and be in Robin Hood's Bay the next week making sand castles. I love catching a quick train to Leeds to get my city fix, enjoy some fine dining and shop for everything we used to get in London. I love going to Castle Howard for its gardens and adventure playground, Helmsley for its charm and open air swimming pool as well as The Rievaulx Abby. I love popping over to Harrogate particularly in summer for their food festival or Wetherby or Knaresborough for their shops and charm.
My favourite place for lunch at the moment is Cresci Pizza in York, it has the most authentic Neapolitan style pizza I have had outside of Italy. Otherwise the Shambles Kitchen has the best BBQ sandwiches I have had the pleasure of having, but be prepared to wait for the privilege!

The market has returned to a seemingly more normal seasonal rhythm. Buyers seem to be driven by necessity with downsizers, up-sizers, divorcing couples and probates being the main motivators for moving. We are selling to some first-time buyers but there seems to be some reluctance with the mortgage rates continuing to be high.
I love all the small boutique shops around the Shambles in York and love going into Leeds to get my fix of the larger luxury brands when I can afford it!
In North Yorkshire we are spoiled for choice when it comes to green open spaces. At the moment I am really enjoying long riverside weekend walks starting in Newton on Ouse and ending at the Dawney Arms for a delicious lunch.

I have to say my local pub The Grey Horse, they do great snacks and pull an excellent pint.
Any one of the many stately homes we have in Yorkshire. It would be great fun to have Castle Howard all to myself to explore.
North Yorkshire has a swath of fantastic primary and secondary schools both public & private. My son goes to Monk Fryston Church of England school which is a local primary in a charming village just south of York. More centrally there is St Peters & Bootham in York, which are very popular. Many schools in North Yorkshire offer a bus service which allows anyone considering a move to North Yorkshire to be flexible on Location.

I live South of Winchester with my two children, Isabella & Jacob. We are within walking distance of an array of local restaurants and a cinema. We love being so close to various aspects of the south coast, including grabbing an ice cream and taking our chances in arcades by the seaside, watching the animals at Marwell Zoo (and measuring the kids heights outside of the giraffe house!) and practicing our swing at the various driving ranges. I’m originally from Plymouth and still visit the south west frequently.
The office is so close to an selection of restaurants - Cote Brasserie, The Ivy and Benton Factory are personal favourites. For an afternoon treat (which I tend to enjoy far too frequently!) Coffee Lab Academy & Hoxton Bakehouse do the best pastries!

Winchester has a great selection of mainstream and independent shops anyway but Whiteley Shopping Centre in Fareham is a friendly shopping experience which also has play parks close by for kids. For a further variety of shops, West Quay in Southampton is 13 miles away or Festival Place in Basingstoke (both easily accessible from train) is just over 20 miles away.
If I had one (hopefully my children won’t get any ideas!) I would start at the Winchester City Mill and follow the river along to St Catherine’s Hill. If you can manage the hill climb or the 333 steps, the top of the hill has the best views of Winchester – look out for the maze!

We are a big fan of ending the day in Greens which has really friendly staff along with great décor and atmosphere. Incognito (hidden at the bottom of town) is an experience not to miss if you enjoy fun and very creative cocktails!
My children and I would love to be locked in the Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium! We would play on all the exhibits and then fall asleep under the stars!

I joined Savills in January 2024 and I’m a member of the Residential Development Sales Team in Edinburgh. I have joined a fantastic team and have thoroughly enjoyed the initial time I have spent within the company. The induction process was great, and it was fantastic to visit other Savills offices across the UK as part of the onboarding process.
I live in an area called Currie, which is a village and suburb on the outskirts of Edinburgh. My wife and I moved to the area just after the birth of our first child, around 10 years ago, and it was the local schools which were the main attraction and reason for moving. We now have two children, Emma (10) and Mark (8). Currie is a great area to live in, as it has a fantastic community spirit and both of our children play for the local football team 'Currie FC'. I also help with the coaching at Currie FC and I have found this to be a great hobby and a way to contribute something back to the community.

Currie Primary School is the school my two children currently attend and luckily for them, Currie High School is currently in the process of being totally rebuilt and its completion will be perfectly timed for when they make the move to secondary school. This will be one of the first schools in Scotland built to Passivhaus standards, which is an energy standard which reduces the amount of energy needed for heating by up to 90%.
Currie is a great place to be based. It is located around 6 miles from the City Centre of Edinburgh. Currie is served by rail by Curriehill railway station, on the Glasgow-Edinburgh via Shotts Line. It is also close to the City of Edinburgh bypass and the M8 motorway to Glasgow is only a couple of miles away. Edinburgh Airport can also be reached in around 4 miles.

The familiar façade of No 1 features in the Bridgerton series, as the household of the prominent Feathering family. Another top choice would be the Roman Bath’s. Who wouldn’t want to have a private experience of dipping a toe into the bath temperate waters….
Bath has many excellent options for both public and state schooling, including primary options. Catchment areas change however properties close to the best schools always attract a premium. We have many buyers moving from London, they tend to be attracted to Royal High and Kingswood whilst Hayesfield and Beechen Cliff are both strong state options.

For such a compact city, traffic in Bath can be a challenge, that said there are three well positioned Park & Rides dotted around the city. Many people arrive into the city via Bath Spa train station which is right in the middle of town and is on the main line from London and also Cardiff. More widely Bath is located in a strategic position making it easy to get to London and also to the south west via the M4 and M5 which are both easy to access from the city.

I have been working at Savills for over 17 years in the Residential Development Sales team in Sevenoaks.
I live in a Grade 1 listed apartment building in a very rural part of Sevenoaks, surrounded by acres of green space and manicured gardens. The views are amazing and within 10 minutes drive I am in the thriving town of Sevenoaks. There are huge areas for recreation just a stones throw from Town with Knole Park on our door step and the many varieties of wildlife including deer, parrots and paraqeets including the historic Knole House and fabulous coffee shop to rest your feet after walking the many acres of the park! Sevenoaks Town offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and pubs which certainly keep me busy and when I need to get into London, the station is a great link into Town with a very regular service.
Sevenoaks has a great choice so difficult to name a certain venue. You can get a quick pastry from Gails to a quick lunch in Wagamama or a full a la carte in Number 8 depending on what you fancy at the time. The choice is endless!

Apartments for downsizers and homes for growing families are amongst the most desired properties in our area.
My favourite retail therapy in Sevenoaks has got to be Mint Velvet and Oliver Bonus. On my doorstep and perfect for all occasions.
You can walk dogs in Knole Park but they do need to be kept on a lead due to the amount of wildlife or you can go down to the nearby Bradbourne Lakes. A short drive away is the other National Trust location at Emmetts Gardens where you can spend a whole day walking and looking at the beautiful manicured gardens. There is also a fabulous childrens play area and coffee shop. They also hold events including open air shows for children and even works by Shakespeare!

We head to the Restoration Pub in Blighs for afterwork drinks, the landlord is really friendly and the wine is great! Although there are a fair few other venues too!!
We are instructed on a lovely development in Oxted, just outside Sevenoaks. Green Hedges is a high spec collection of 11 apartments and to be honest I wouldn't mind spending the night in no 3 as it looks over the communal gardens which are beautifully laid out.
Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages have a wide selection of primary schools, state and grammar secondary schools along with private schools providing educational needs for every child. Sevenoaks also falls under the catchment area for Tunbridge Wells providing further options for parents. Many families move here with education in mind as one of their reasons for relocating. We really are spoilt for choice.

Seasons, located in Sunningdale. The best garden centre restaurant you will ever eat at. The menu changes regularly and is always seasonal, as the name suggests! There’s also a lovely terrace which opens during the summer months and serves tapas-style food and drinks.

Despite having no motorways, which makes it a special place to live, Norfolk has very good links to the rest of the UK. The A11, which connects Norfolk to Cambridge and London via the M11, was recently upgraded, the A140 takes you down into Suffolk towards Ipswich and the A47 spans the width of the county and links to the A1 for journeys further north. Norwich also has regular rail services into London and Cambridge, which has attracted more and more commuters who spend some of their time working from home, while Norwich International Airport has regular flights to Amsterdam and seasonal flights to popular holiday destinations.

I live with my Fiancée in East Kilbride, which is located in South Lanarkshire. East Kilbride is a New Town, located 10 miles from Glasgow. I have a wonderful local park, Calderglen that has lots of walking routes and a wondeful play park for my Stepson to enjoy. East Kilbride is a wonderful location for families with lots of options come rain or shine to keep weekends activity filled; either ceramic painting, trampolining, ice skating, swimming.
